Our History
We are Val & Al Zavislak. We started with Local Honey Apiary in 2010 providing award winning, high-quality raw honey straight from our own hives.
Having our own garden meant we could provide the most nutritious fresh food, with none of the cancer causing ingredients, for our family as well as our livestock. Since then, we decided to our garden to include fresh food for our local community to help improve their over all health. This is when Abby Rose Farm was born. Our small-farm business is proud to supply farm fresh eggs as well as farm fresh produce (coming 2026) to our local community using sustainable practices and abiding to organic methods. We are a family-owned and operated business that takes pride in our work and is committed to providing the best possible food to our customers.
Our Products
We offer a wide variety bee products; raw honey in 8oz, 12oz, 16 oz and 5 gallon buckets, honeycomb, beeswax and bees available in 5-frame nucs & 10-frame hives. We also offer farm fresh eggs in a variety of colors, started pullets as well as fresh produce (coming 2026). Our products are all-natural, free-range, and raised without antibiotics or hormones.
Our Farming Practices
At Abby Rose Farm - Home of Local Honey Apiary, we are committed to sustainable and ethical farming practices. Our chickens are raised in spacious, clean, and well-ventilated , and are free to roam and forage. We take care to ensure that our farming practices are environmentally friendly and that our animals are treated with respect and care.
